TRANE offers dependable, high
quality air conditioning and heating
products. The outdoor condensing
units have always been popular for
their quiet operation and corrosion
resistant construction.
The TRANE XL16i Condensing Unit
uses 2 stage technology to improve
energy efficiency and increase the
moisture removal capacity needed to
keep indoor humidity levels in check.
The XL16i uses a 2 stage "Scroll"
refrigerant compressor that adjusts
system operation as needed to
maximize humidity control and limit
KW consumption to only what is
needed as conditions change.

2 stage systems only use full capacity ( full tonnage )
at peak load conditions. At night and during mild weather,
the system operates in "Low Speed" using only a fraction
of the "High Speed" KW consumption. When the indoor
temperature rises 1 degree, the system runs low speed.
If the indoor temperature rises 2 degrees it shifts to high.
Operation in low speed maximizes humidity control during
periods that require the most moisture removal capacity.
2 stage system operation occurs automatically, adjusting
as needed to best serve thermostat user set points.
TRANE Variable Speed Air Handlers use the
same sort of strategy to maximize the systems
indoor airflow capabilities. Rather than coming on
at full speed in a few seconds ( conventional fans
reach 1075 RPM in less than 4 seconds ) variable
speed indoor fans quietly ramp up their full speed
gradually using a controlled start up.
Their programmable features allow technicians to
customize individual control configurations to best
match the application. The enhanced humidity
control options allow indoor fan control functions
that increase the moisture removal rate, up to
4 times of what a fixed speed fan can yield.
Variable speed settings are selected by the
installing technician to handle Southwest Florida's
humid climate in the most efficient manner for the
indoor conditioned space served.

TRANE "Clean Effects" Air Cleaners
Provide whole-house air cleaning for occupants.
All AC systems require an air filter to keep system
components from building up airborne debris that
collects on airhandler components and ductwork.
The "Clean Effects" air cleaner go's beyond filtration
collecting particles such as mold spores and viruses
that irritate or infect human respiratory systems.
